making a butterfly puppet (like in blue's clues) for project time tea set and colored pencils make monkeys (at least that's what she said this little figure was: a monkey)
that's the name of the school dava goes to...just on thursdays though. she already knows all the stuff in their scholastics curriculum, so she just goes on "playball day"...
baking art (apparently the picture that dava's drawing is "zaccheus in heaven") perfecting the art of tying bows "be the artist -- the garden of your heart"
so, one day (jan 30, 2010 to be exact) we decided to have a finger puppet show for word time. unfortunately, the video will not be posted...but pictures will. most of them are captured from the video file (cuz i didn't take many still shots), so bear with the quality.
this is planning to be dava's school blog...if the internet connection will allow it. the content will be updates on dava's school and progress...pictures of dava's school...and maybe some notes and tidbits on the challenges I face as a homeschooling mother of 3, as well as the consequent victories.
dava is currently doing "homemade" school, because, the very, very smart person that i am, left almost all her school stuff in the philippines. so, i make my own supplement pages for any books she may be working through.
on thursdays, dava goes to a preschool a few blocks down the road from our house. it's a nice and colorful crowd of little ones, where you can sing "jesus loves the little children" and actually have "red and yellow, black and white" represented. :) (will post pictures soon...hopefully...)
on tuesdays she has dance lessons, what they, at the dance school, call "modern dancing", which is based on ballet. (will post pictures soon...hopefully...)
and hopefully, this blog will start to fill up nicely, and the internet will decide to be friends with me. and we'll see how it goes.
is for updates on Dava's school and learning progress, and will most probably evolve into involving the other two little ones as they get older. School is not just scholastics, but almost anything in life experience that aids in learning...so, there will be more than book work, numbers and letters on this blog. This also doubles as a portfolio.
